Casino de Paris, Monte Carlo

In Monte Carlo for our 10th wedding anniversary..,

This is the closest we got to the famous Casino, as we're the dozy sods who didn't realise that you have to bring your passports if you're staying in a hotel in Monte Carlo, and we'd left them back in Nice. Ah well, good job neither of us is a big gambler! For a few minutes I thought they weren't even going to let us stay in the hotel itself but we blagged our way through..,

We had a few teatime drinks on the terrace of the Cafe de Paris opposite the hotel, and as the sun started going down the sky turned an amazingly rich shade of blue - this is straight out of the camera.
