Fungi

"Jew's ear" fungus on elder. I first spotted this last winter, and it has recently spread further through an elder bush not far from home. It is distinctive, hence the ID. The Latin name is Auricularia auricula-judae.

It has been generally dull and breezy, but very mild. I only popped out for a short while, so not much choice for the blip shot.
