The library carpets in Edinburgh are less psychedelic than those in Glasgow. We popped into the McDonald Rd library this morning on the way to meet friends for lunch at the drill hall (very nice, cheap and close to a park). Arlo insisted that we also pop into the excellent Elvis Shakespeare on Leith Walk, where he bought himself a CD copy of Entroducing (to replace my worn to pieces vinyl edition), a Teardrop Explodes compilation and the April Skies 7" with this little number as one of the B-Sides. What can I say? The boy has taste.

In other library/book news, just finished the Bicycle Book by Bella Bathurst. Was a bit disappointing given her previous form, nothing much new in there for those with even a passing interest in cycling. Now I'm off to tackle 2666 by Roberto Bolano, it's stupidly long so don't be expecting a review anytime soon. If any blippers happen to have read 2666, can you let me know if I'm about to waste my time?
