fellow shutterbug. went for a stroll at gyeongbokgung today. some of the fall colors were stunning; leaves tinged a searing shade of red in the late afternoon sun... almost unbelievable hues. didn't have any shots that accurately represented that color or feeling, so i went with this one. this guy was wearing a hat similarly toned to the leaves he was taking photos of. he turned around when he heard the ca-chunk of my 5d's shutter, and so i kept shooting and grabbed this frame. like many other koreans of his generation, his eyes are kind but weary, wise but cautious, hiding secrets of his country's tumultuous history.
