An unexpectedly wonderful day

Still not feeling very well but my son was home for a day from university. I was so happy to have him at home, but I couldn't show it, couldn't act clingy.

However, he accepted my most delicate offer of love today through home cooking. I woozily shopped and cooked all afternoon, lavishing my maternal instinct on stew, brownies and chocolate chip pumpkin muffins. Not to mention, helping him with doing his laundry.

I'm happy. How quickly time goes by.
