Blackford Pond swan

I went to Blackford Pond today, which is very close to my home - it's a good place to go if I don't want to use the car/bus. However, I realised that I hadn't been there for ages. I was glad to see the swans - there's a pair which usually breeds there, and the cygnets usually stay atound until the early spring when their parents tell them in no uncertain terms that it's time to go - but there weren't any cygnets, so I don't know what happened this year.
