View From My Kitchen Window

It really is true that if there's a will, there's definitely a way! I almost missed out on doing a blip today as my camera batteries were all flat out and couldn't find my charger. Of all days for that to happen, Brisbane is having a thunderstorm! Luckily I remembered that my battery grip has an insert for using AA batts! Took me a while to find enough batteries to power up the cam but power it up I did! Woohoo!

So armed with probably half an hour worth of shots, I set up my camera and tripod to take photos of Brissie CBD and hopefully get at least one lightning shot with the CBD in the background. Alas, it wasn't meant to be. After 400 photos, still no lightning and the rain started to let up. So all I could come up with was a photo of Brissie covered in fog.

Lost opportunity. Maybe tomorrow night we'll have a thunderstorm again. Lesson learned, always have a fully charged battery on hand. :)
