Impending storm

After a great dinner at Macaroni Grille in Tulsa, Oklahoma, we stopped in WalMart to pick up a few items. Walking back to the car, I couldn't resist taking time to blip these beautiful clouds. Later, back at the hotel, we turned on the TV and the air waves were full of warning of an impending storm. Tornado warnings/ watches covered a large number of counties. Because we didn't even know which county we were in, I wasn't sure how alarmed we should be about these warnings. This spring has been a bad season for tornadoes. The Midwest, including all the states we had to drive through, breed a lot of nasty storms. I couldn't wait to get back to Northeast Ohio. As it turned out, we avoided the tornadoes, but the next morning, right after we left Tulsa, the city was hit by a violent storm, causing lightning damage, fires, broken plate glass windows, and more. A tree actually fell on a fire truck that was responding to a fire alarm. It wasn't a pretty scene. However, the day ended with a beautiful sunset and a rainbow as we drove through Missouri and into Indiana.
