Home alone this day. Mother gone, by bus, to Timaru yesterday to spend time with her brother who is ailing. I am to drive up tomorrow, have lunch and a catch up and then return home with a stop for fish and chips at Waikouaiti.

Took the canine for a leisurely walk around a local playing field. Most of the trees are showing their new seasons greenery and flora. I love spring and autumn for the vibrancy that is birth and death.

The cricket pitches for summer were being worked upon and the soft breezy air was filled with the sharp green fragrance of cut grass. Lovely.
