First School garden

The picture shows the Principal of Luvuwu Primary school getting some planting instructions from our propagation and seed expert Binna.
The school in the background was built by the community, inspired and supported by ten DIT (Dublin Institute of Technology)students who spent their Easter holidays, slaving in the sun.
The school garden was driven forward by Mary, who is delighted about the growth of the chinese cabbage and how healthy it looks.
The garden fence is an amazing feat of ingenuity: designed and engineered by six year olds and built by everyone, to the amazement of us lot, products of first world technology!!!
Just a little note:
The school was built in two weeks, with a contribution of 2700 Euro, and accommodates 300 students. Next job is school furniture, but that's a doddle!!
If you look closely you will se an Irish flag still flying, but all we did was light the spark. This is a wholly Malawian success story, but we're proud of it too.

Knocking the old school and using sticks for fence!! Recycling at its best
