Nearly pumpkin time

These pretty Squash - I can only see one Pumpkin - have been grown by someone in the village and D at the village shop is hoping they will be sold for Halloween which is not such a big deal around here. A few houses will shove out a pumpkin by their front gate with a lighted candle in it and maybe a few small children will dress up and have a party.

A day of household chores mostly and getting ready for the journey to London tomorrow morning. Hope the trains are running without a hitch! Just remembered the clocks change tonight, my alarm clock should adjust automatically ....!

T and the dog Tess have been out all day on a local farmers' pheasant shoot. The weather behaved until dusk and then it began to drizzle. The dog and T were tired on their return but they enjoyed the companionship of the other farmers and their dogs.
