Loud berries

Went on a wee walk today with my mum who is recovering from a broken pelvis. We came across a hedge of common snowberry (Symphoricarpos albus) which has these white fruits. As a kid we used to pluck them, throw them to the ground and crush them with our feet. They made a popping noise and everyone wanted to generate the loudest pop. Today I had a competition with my mum and guess who won? ;-)
