The Gordons

Aberdeen's got a new statue on the Castlegate commemorating the Gordon Highlanders which, according to this quote from Winston Churchill etched on the back are "the finest regiment in the world". It was unveiled on Saturday by Prince Charles (as snapped from above by abzquine).

It was raining when I went to see the statue today so its a bit dull, I'm sure I'll be back with the camera again and pretty sure that parts of this statue will feature in future blips.
