A day on the compost heap

Time to dig out the best bits of the compost and spread over the veggie garden beds and other places 'in need' of more organic material. We also harvested Jerusalem artichokes, carrots, leek and parsnips. Yummy!

Weather was lovely: sunny, almost no wind and +8°C. The trees are now shedding their leaves, so the lovely autumn colours will not last very much longer...
