Pressed For Time
Pressmennan Lake, East Lothian. After a slow start, I had just enough time until the little ones arrived home to get out on my bike. I decided to head to Pressmennan but instead of going through Stenton, I went across the fields from Spott Mill to come into the wood from the east. A great way to blow off yesterday's cobwebs.
It is 'Lake' by the way - Pressmennan is one of only a few (five?) bodies of water in Scotland called 'Lake' rather than 'Loch'. The only natural one is the Lake of Menteith and it seems there are a few others. Pressmennan is artificial in that it's a dammed river, and this photo is taken from the weir.
Now we're getting ready for Katie's 5th birthday party tomorrow, just a small one in the house with her favourite friends, so a cake (eggs, self-raising flour) and pass the parcel presents etc to get. Off we go on the family bike again!
