Yellow club-foot
A combination of work and my twisted knee-cap has kept me off the commons for the past three days. I was pleased to find that several new fungi have emerged during my absence including this yellow-club-foot fungus growing in the grass at the side of a path. Although its not an uncommon fungi we don't see it often around here. It can be difficult to spot, being only 2-3 cm high, and can be overlooked if the grass they grow in is yellowing. These were quite bright yellow so stood out nicely in the dew. The other new fungi are quite large and robust so I hope they'll be around for a few days.
