Shopping at La Vega

Today we went to one of my favourite places in Santiago, La Vega. Its the wholesale fruit and veg market place, where you can get more super sized fruit for your peso than anywhere else.

There also happens to be a Peruvian section where you can get Peruvian ingredients as well as a place that does Peruvian food. Simple and basic yet delcious and fresh. Divine!

We then went for an ice cream and off to a hockey match to watch the team that Jorge (pictured, my brother in law) manages. It was over the hills and far away, Santiago is growing fast....
