Day 22. 365grateful - Lenny Kravitz

Today we journeyed across London to Hammersmith in order to see Lenny Kravitz. I saw him at Brixton Academy in 2009 and he was awesome. He is one of those artists that has so many songs that I didn't realise were by him like Stand by your woman, It ain't over til it's over etc. The show was brilliant. His voice was great. Brilliant to see a horn section with someone I associate with being very rock orientated. A fantastic show. You know when you hear something live and it just isn't quite as well executed as the recording? Well, not with Lenny and his band. Are you gonna go my way was AWESOME! And his song Black and White America (from the new album of the same name) was accompanied by a very moving slide show of family photos.

Where are we running
We need some time to clear our heads
Where are we running
We keep on working 'til we're dead
Where are we running now?
- Lenny Kravitz

The 365 Grateful Project
In early 2008, in an effort to fight depression, Hailey Bartholomew started a year long photographic project which involved taking one Polaroid photo a day of something she felt grateful for.
I thought that this was such a fab idea I would do it as well. I have been blipping on and off recently but I lost my enthusiasm for it when I felt that every day was the same, always going to the same place. However, I think that documenting something I am grateful for each day gives it a different slant.
