Magical Morning
I left home this morning at 7.30am and arrived at the workhouse at 8.30am - quite a long time for a 12 mile country drive. It normally takes 25 minutes at a steady pace including tractors and trucks.
I stopped about 20 times to take photos of the rising sun. NEVER have I seen such a spectacular sunrise....or, perhaps I have just not really truly appreciated it this much before? It was amazing and quite the best thing I have watched frame by frame for such a long time.
However this photo caused a stir. I took it at a crossroads on my way to the workhouse. I took a chance....no traffic. I swung the door open, leapt out, positioned myself and then lost track.....by the time I had finished (about 10 shots), there were 2 cars behind me and others turning at the crossroads. NOBODY minded and all gave me a thumbs up. Perhaps I made others aware of the beauty by making them wonder what I was doing. They were all looking and smiling. It was utter beauty.
As I write this I am watching another wonder on telly - Barry Manilow. How old is this guy - WHAT a voice. Such an accomplished singer songwriter. I really respect these singers who can still sign after all these years. Sing on!
Happy that my long week is done and that my reward os an extra hour slumber!!
Happy weekend folks.
