Return of the Darlings

Best viewed the darlings have returned large!

They appeared for the first time this Autumn about a week ago & only in the last few days have been coming into the garden. There's a small flock of about 100 flying around - 100 does sound a lot, but if anyone has ever seen for real or footage of thousands of starlings flocking, then really, 100 is not that many! They've loved the weather today, all of them filling the sky with their chattering & iridescent feathers shining in the sunshine... I so LOVE them! But they do eat us out of house & home when the cold weather comes... but... they make incredibly good blip subjects! :)
