I heart ...

Oh it was lovely waking up, looking out of the window to see a beautiful blue ocean and lovely sunlight. The mosquitos that kept me awake half the night were less pleasant.

As we didn't have a real plan we went out to explore the island after breakfast. Just drove along the coast and made once around the island. We were rather impressed with the the first impressions.

At the Porto Moniz in the northeast of Madeira we stopped for a swim at the pool which was fed by the fresh ocean water. With the tide coming in the waves would wash over the walls and refresh the water in the pool. It was pretty fun to watch even though we almost lost a few belongings while the water washed over our towels. It all went so fast, all I could think of was to grab my camera bag which had already been floating a little moving towards the actual pool. Luckily I was fast enough to rescue my bag and the camera inside it.

For once I had a lot of blipportunities again and it was difficult to chose a photo for today's blip. But when I noticed the shadow that was cast by this sign, I didn't have to think twice :)
