Meet the new boss

Aye, after 25 years the old boss has taken his well-earned retirement and left some other joker in charge. Everyone else is wondering how long it'll take for him to screw it up. I reckon he'll be OK.

After a wee drink in the office at 4.30pm, some short speeches and some chat. Then we headed to the Cumberland for more drink and a bit of grub. We were lucky to have the company accountant with us. He reckoned that after 25 years, the company could stand us a burger and a couple of drinks. That would have made it a completely free night if it hadn't been for the return train tickets that allowed us to see the train leave, and the taxi fare home.

Still, the boss now has a membership for the Scotch Malt Whisky Society so it'll be important to catch up with him regularly so he can get his money's worth.
