The largest reed bed in Staffordshire

Branston Water Park, just adjacent to the noisy A38 just south of Burton-on-Trent in Staffordshire, is a haven of beauty. On the site of the former open cast gravel pits, it is now a lovely nature reserve, and boasts one of the biggest reed beds in the UK.

The autumn light and unexpected warmth of the day made the walk around the lake a delightful experience - and offered a choice of blips.
