The Shiants

This was supposed to be a rainy day here, but there was only a wee smir (is that really a word.....?) and then the sun came back. But we all managed to cope with the fact that the BBC got the weather wrong again.

A local boat owner is now doing trips to the Shiant Isles, off the coast of Harris.

There is a puffin colony on the Shiants, and although you don't land on the islands, the puffins are seemingly in abundance.

I want to see some puffins!
