Russians invade Gavriou

We were the only boat around for days and then all of a sudden a fleet descended on the sleepy town of Gavriou on the island of Andros. The result of this was that word soon spread and all the shops that had been closing for the end of season openned and the place came to life.

The whole fleet was made up of russians and they were mostly 6 per boat. They were all travelling in company and from the scenes that followed those guys can eat.

Gavriou got a welcome commercial boost and we enjoyed watching the melee of over 15 yachts trying to fit in the space of 14. They were eventually defeated by the laws of physics and one of the largest of their company had to anchor and dinghy ashore.
