Carrion crow

On my brief excursion yesterday I'd tried to take a photo of the young grey squirrels who were leaping around and chasing each other, but they'd been too quick for me.

I could have gone in for a close-up but then the crow would have flown off and we'd have been left with what remained of the squirrel's head.
