Back on track - it is Friday.
This is Gary Boyle at Burgundy's last night - not only a most talented guitar player but a lovely guy to paint. He was with Tim Franks on drums and Dave Turner on double bass (both sketched on www.watercolourjazz.co.uk) and a new trumpet player. Last night was the launch of a new venture - the first prototype Burgundy Jazz watercolour calendar that Ted immediately used for a competition - identifying each jazz player for each month. A good bit of marketing & he said "see Will if you are interested in buying". Well nobody came to speak to me which confirms that painting & my entrepreneur efforts will never make me a wealthy man - so I will continue with my immense enjoyment of sketching these talented guys. And the bottom line is that you only need money to do what you enjoy doing anyway. I gave Ted the proto0type calendar which I know he will appreciate - he is just such a great advocate for jazz.
