The View From The Balcony

When I found out we were on the 9th floor when we checked in, I wasn't overly enthused. No real fear of heights but it was a long way down (and the lifts were quite old and clunky).

Having said that, the views - both out to sea and over to the mountains - were great. In the still of night you could hear the waves breaking against the shore, very relaxing and it was a braw sound to hear when you woke in the morning.

Today was the day Scotland played Spain. We watched it on a cinema screen in the hotel. An early Spain goal put paid to any chances of a shock and the football was amazing to watch. I even applauded their goals. If we'd won, this would've been a footy blip!
