It was very dark this morning and I was alone with juno, pooh scooping in the dark now that is a danger sport.
Work was just tremendous.
Popped out at lunctime to give blood, disaster there was no tuc cheese biscuits to have afterwards.
I left early to run to football as the girls had a game, on the way I popped into Just Sitting's house for a chat, tea and a sharp knife to cut up the oranges for halftime.
Thanks are your children are brilliant.
Over to set up the pitch on the 3g for what could be the league decider, Purples were one point ahead and have to play second place tonight and sunday.
A very nervous bunch in the warm up, but as I warmed up the goalkeeper I knew we could do it, she was bizzing and handling everything.
The start of the game and we passed well and played football, the girls peppered the goals with shots to be met by a fine keeping display to keep us out. Our defence handled everything that was thrown at us. A couple of changes and space opened up for a well worked goal. Half time 1-0.
Some of our girls were too nervous and said they were not keen to go on. Pressure on us for long periods and some great defence and goalkeeping kept the score at 1-0.
Tiring and the pressure getting to the girls, shots that would normally find the net drifted past. The opposition pushed forward in numbers and the purples passed quickly out from defence to create a chance and, sweetly taken 2-0.
Tension released they grew in confidence and saw the game out with a clean sheet.
What a great game of football with both teams contributing.
The purples are league champions. The first team from our club to win a title.
My camera ran out of batteries so you have my back up blip if it was not a favourable outcome at the football.
As a coach delighted and as a parent of Eco daughter who played her heart out, proud.
