the high point

Came home from work tonight to a lovely surprise, no 2 son had bought a couple of steaks and was busily cooking them and they were superb. I then popped round to see Fumpha and Pinklady as Fumpha came home from hospital today. Unfortunately the evening then deteriorated, a phone call from the steak chef. 'My car has conked out there is black smoke coming out of the bonnet' (hood to you yankee doodles!) So off I went armed with tow rope into the very centre of Newcastle to tow him home, got back at 11.30p.m to find washing machine had stopped mid cycle!! Not a very good ending to what had started out as a lovely evening!
