Ethan & Lucinda
Ethan was up once during the night. We had decided it's time to get tough so when I went through to comfort him I refused to pick him up out the cot and after a few minutes trying to lie him back down, telling him it's time to go back to sleep, lots of furious yells from him, I left the room. He went nuts, screaming his head off so I steeled myself to hold firm..... after 2 minutes he went quiet! And went back to sleep till 6am. I didn't expect that!
Took him to his swimming class again. For the second week in a row we were the only people who showed up! His instructor came in the pool with us and tried to get him to be more confident and let go. Didn't work though - he had a meltdown - everyone else in the pool must have wondered what all the screams were. It was pure temper though as he hardly shed a tear!
In the afternoon we met up with Missus B & Lucinda. Both our kids had fallen asleep in the car on the way to the Heritage Centre and we both managed to transfer them into their pushchairs without waking them. So we headed straight to the tearoom for a cuppa and a cake. Just fab! After waking them, they enjoyed charging round the farm, going on the trampolines, nutty bouncer and we even took them on the gocarts.
Granny & Grandpa are here this evening. First time Ethan has seen them for a few weeks. We've had a great evening and he has even gone to bed without a fuss for the first time in a month!
