Bonfire

It's that time of year again. The bonfire is growing on the green, guarded each night by a night-guard with his own little bonfire. The fair has arrived and the attractions are spreading along the prom. As I was walking past one this afternoon they tried out the sound system - deafening. Walking along the road it's hard to realise that in a couple of days thousands of people will be shoulder to shoulder along the road as the carnival passes by. From my vantage point I have probably one of the best views in town. Not sure if all the family are coming this year though. But we will enjoy the spectacle and the fireworks all the same.
