Arrival

We arrived in Delhi, India last night after 24 hours of travel, 20 hours in the air! We were more than happy to reach our destination. The airport in Delhi is fairly new and this artwork is above area where we waited in line to go through customs. Someone told me the different signs are steps in a traditional Indian dance. As we flew into Delhi last night we saw fireworks all over the city. It was their celebration of Diwali, a festival of lights. As we drove to our hotel we noticed most houses and buildings were decorated with lights and we saw people in the streets with fireworks and sparklers. It was quite a wonderful way to start our visit in India.
I'm not sure how much time I'll have to look at or comment on journals on this trip but will catch up when I get home.
