Koru

Still catching up after my trip away and finding that there was a bug in the computer preventing access to the internet when I got back.
This fern is on the edge of the deck and we've watched the new frond emerge, even as we approach mid winter. It is known as koru, which is a spiral or scroll shape representing new life, and is a common symbol here in NZ.
