Summer's End?

These few posies are holding on and shot in the setting sun against the dark water, well there you are, summer's end. It was cold and windy today, the water early this morning was jammed with boats all going as fast as they could to prepare for the season's last race, the Head of the Lake on Nov. 6th. I tried to hold my own in the throng, but it was too much. Hence my calling attention to the tenacity of these few little surviving lobelia!
