The Clockwork Forest: Grizedale, Cumbria

A fantastic day at Grizedale Forest with my parents and my children. A walk through the woods led us to all sorts of amazing sculptures as well as the beauty of the forest itself. So many delights I had to create another Smilebox to showcase the best of the rest!

This is a close up of the giant clockwork handles that have appeared at the edge of the forest as part of an art installation The Clockwork Forest by greyworld. Once wound gently a few times music tinkles out from hidden speakers located nearby. Both adults and children took great delight in winding them up! Let's hope they survive the attentions of the general public.

This was my first visit to Grizedale and it certainly won't be my last!
