Wednesday oh Wednesday

Typical Wednesday. The last weekend was too long ago, the next one is too far away. The day was a hectic one, the phone didn't stop ringing at one point. I have still not had news about my application.

For this very reason my colleague and I decided about a year and a half ago to make Wednesdays teacake day. At around 3:45 we both grab a cuppa and tuck in. It sounds silly, but it really is something we look forward to (neither of us being daily chocolate eaters) and there's always a moment of joy when it's a particularly bad day and you come back to your desk to find that your teacake has been placed there ready for you to eat.

I have to mention, on the subject of teacakes, that I'm very fussy about how they are eaten. I believe it is teacake heresy to do anything but eat the chocolate off the top, consume the marshmallow, and finish with the biscuit.
