"Das Pferd frisst keinen Gurkensalat"

150 years ago today, on October 26 in 1861 the German teacher Philipp Reis introduced his Fernsprecher (telephone) in Frankfurt am Main/Germany.
He was the first one to set up a connection where people exchanged sentences via phone.
The first sentence transmitted was "Das Pferd frisst keinen Gurkensalat" = "The horse doesn't eat cucumber salad".
