Idiot-proof flowers

Some people have green fingers and can make all flowers last forever and throw together effortless bouquets.

For the rest of us, there are alstromeria. Seriously, it's like they're idiot-proof. Firstly, they're already pretty to start with. Secondly, they come in plenty of different shades and colours, so it's super easy to buy two bunches in complimentary colours, mix them together, stick them in a vase and voila! You've created a super-pretty bouquet with minimal effort. Thirdly, they're pretty difficult to kill and tend to last quite a while.

Trust me - I've been relying on bouquets of alstromeria to look impressive and decorative with minimal effort on my part for several years now, and they've yet to fail me. Well, except the time I hadn't noticed that the bouquet was dead, but that doesn't count because that was just me failing at life.
