Black Lillies

No shoots today, so after lunch I decided to go down to Hammersmith Bridge and walk west along the Thames Path.

The houses along the first mile or so were amazing, each having their own bit of garden between the road and the river (just high enough to avoid the flood plain of the Thames). Further down, the path was more overgrown and I decided to call it a day at Chiswick Bridge, little knowing how long it would take me to get back.

You forget how much the river bends and twists and so it took me a further hour to get to the Hogarth Roundabout, where I waited for a bus home.

Nothing inspired me sufficiently on my four hour walk, so my picture of the day is two 'black' lillies, found in Dulwich on Saturday.
