Tram to the airport, Sir?

As I work in the city centre and have to cross Princes Street every day to get to my office, it was inevitable that the trams would feature in a blip at some point. As I walked along Princes Street at lunchtime today, what struck me was the scale of what was happening to one of Europe's greatest streets. I mean, where else do you get a street with such a stunning castle towering over it? And yet nothing was happening. Not a soul in site, doing anything to hasten the arrival of the long-awaited tram system.

However, trams in other cities are great; this will be too.
