Occupy Glasgow, George Square
First day back at work, went for a walk after lunch but wasn't out that long. Not the best looking photo, but this is from the Occupy Glasgow protest that is taking place in George Square. I had heard about the one in London when I was on holiday and one of my neighbours, a photographer, went down for a few days.
The Glasgow equivalent is not as large in terms of a numbers and the protestors have pitched tents and set up camp on one of the grass patches on the square. There is an information tent right in the middle of the square where they are speaking to people passing through the square. All very peaceful and not a police officer in sight.
I see the council have installed the Christmas lights too, ready for the big switch on. Hard to believe that this was the location for a Hollywood blockbuster, World War Z just a month or so ago!
Slowly but surely getting through the backblips, feel free to scroll back through my calendar and take a wee look :-)
