The lighter side of life

So my zippo handwarmer turned up today. What a genius invention. No
longer will I have to fiddle about boiling gel handwarmers in a pot and 
putting them in my bag for use in a painful cold hand situation only to 
discover that somewhere along the line, the little disc has been 
squeezed and my handwarmer has been merrily warming itself 
without my knowledge and is now completely useless until I next 
reach a pot of boiling water.

Light of heart, I skipped off to the nearest large retail outlet to ask for 
some  lighter fluid with which to operate my fabulous new handwarmer. 
Only for the wee wifie to tell me that they don't sell it and that it is 
really difficult to get lighter fluid these days. Whit? I thought lighter
fluid was one of those things that is just constant, like Kelloggs 
Cornflakes or Dick Van Dyke. What do you mean I can't get lighter 
fluid? How do people light things these days? You can't light candles
with an iPhone you know.

So I now have a shiny pocket ornament until such time as I find a local
purveyor of lighter fluid. It is available online but I'd rather just be able
to go out and buy some when I need it, not work out that I may need 
some several days hence. Huff.
