Princes Street Gardens

Lovely autumn colours just below The Mound. We headed up to the High Street and the Royal Mile for the day. It was very busy with visitors and street entertainers.

We visited Gladstone Land first, a 17th century merchant's tenement and progressed down to Cannongate Kirk the sight of the recent wedding of Zara Philips. It is Edinburgh's military church and has lots of royal standards.

Finally we went to Holyrood Castle with great view of Arthur's Seat and Salisbury Crags from the gardens.
