Colours ~ Death Rides Out

WARNING!!!

Hissy fit below. To spare yourself, start reading after the italics.

Scunnered doesn't begin to cover the way I'm feeling today. The last 24 hours have not been the best in the Sleepyhead household. Little did I know that losing my internet connection for a couple of hours towards the end of the day ould be the best thing that happened, but it almost was!

My p.c. backup failed. Not a real problem, after all I could just take another from scratch. However, the backup partition is on the same disk as my photos, so I thought I'd better take a copy over to my other disk just in case.

Nooooooooooo. It failed!!!

Immediate panic was replaced with mild concern as I was able to copy all but one of the folders under my root photograph directory (sorry, Castle Campbell).

That, it turns out was the best thing to happen to me today.

Leaving my p.c. to run error checking on my disk to try and recover that last folder, I headed out to the car on my way up to St Andrews for my castle blip to find a flat front passenger tyre. <nnngggggg>!

Tyre changed I headed out to the local ATS to get it fixed. Not a problem. Busy now but leave the tyre and come back at 3pm. Ok, day lost but hey ho, these things happen! Arrived back at three to be met with shrugs. WHAT! Apparently nothing had been done and nobody knew anthing! Bloody hell! The guys I spoke to were great though. Unfortunately because it is a company fleet car it needs to have a specific make of tyre fitted, which of course, they didn't have and had to order. It arrives on Wednesday... grounded!!!!

Mr Moodbeam is currently in hiding, but there's no fooling me. I can see his bright red glow blinking behind the sofa!

;- )

Tonight's smoky blip started as dark and moody. The only colour for tonight was red and I had Dante's Inferno in mind for the subject. However, as the incense did it's job on my senses my mood lightened. So I got a few other colours in by the end of the stick.

So if I'm in a more ammeanable mood (Mr Moodbeam is sticking his head from out behind the sofa as I type) then how did I get to go with Death?!!

Well, I'm still not completely happy but I look upon this more as a Discworld Death rather than a Bergman Death! For those of you unfamiliar with the Terry Pratchett novel's... it's too difficult to explain. Let's just say Death has a sense of humour!

Death Rides Out Uncovered

Now I'm off to have my "full fat" carry out meal (sorry diet)!

I'll be back on later to catch up with your days!
