Casual Capitol Bike Sharing

Apple Picking. We were supposed to go apple picking in Virginia, a mere 30 minute drive. Two hours after we left GW we ended up at an apple-less farm in Maryland.

Lice signed us up for this dysfunctional trip run through a club on campus. They rent cars and take excursions like this all the time. We ended up in the van with the terrible driver who did not have proper directions. Got lost 8 times. But we made it, and I kid you not we got there and there were signs that said that they are all out of apples. Apple picking without the apple picking consisted of eating pie and caramel apples, petting goatsies, clucking at chickens, and not picking apples. Made it back to DC in literally 30 minutes. Dysfunctional, seriously.

Licey and I rented bikes through the Capitol Bike Share thing and we toured the monuments by night. We rode past the Lincoln Memorial, WWII memorial (pictured), Washington Monument, and the Capitol building. Biking has been our most brilliant idea thusfar. We got dinner at Ted's Bulletin which was amazing. Fun fact, they make home-made poptarts and sell breakfast all the time.

I love DC. To quote Lice "I'm so fat and happy right now."
