Mantis on Pink

A beautiful autumn day. Perfect for yard work. As we cleaned up the flower beds in the front yard this afternoon, Kathy discovered a good sized preying mantis.

Once again Kathy stepped up to the plate to be a pink stage on which the green mantis could strut his stuff.

Things got just a bit tense as the mantis made his way up Kathy's arm, then along her shoulder towards her hair.

Fortunately, I grabbed this blip, then quickly removed the mantis before any real trouble developed.

No living things were injured in the making of this blip, but a bunch of electrons were bossed around quite a bit ;-)
