Happy Anniversary, Mrs theWeir

8:30pm and the neighbour is about to pop over for a chat and a Black Isle Blonde.

Not something you'd expect to be happening on the night of a twelfth wedding anniversary, but all becomes clear when you realise that Mrs theWeir is out at work.

Twelve years ago, we looked like this. Which is fairly amusing.

So today was filled with things: A good long lie (8am for all of us), drums at KCC (good for me, at least), a tasty lunch out as a wee family, home for nasty ironing, then watching a fun film with the weeWeir while Mrs theWeir slept in advance of night-shift.

I can't believe that it's been twelve years, but console myself with the reality that we have done a fair amount of living, growing and maybe a little maturing. And we were only twenty when we wed!

As I said yesterday, so very grateful for the life we are graced with.

Every breath is mercy.
