Went to visit a nature reserve that we'd noticed on our way back from the Basingstoke half marathon a few weeks ago.

Very disappointing - lots of traffic noise from the nearby M3 and very little wildlife (not even a squirrel!). These were the only things of interest - New Forest ponies drafted in to graze the area and restore the heathland in the reserve. Looks as if they've got a lot of work to do.

Lovely day though - 20 degrees - and very sunny.
