Caught you!
After a lazy morning we spent the rest of the day in Clumber Park, National Trust property, including a picnic (yes a picnic towards the end of October). This was a really cheap day out as we are already staying on the caravan site within the park but felt like a real treat. The weather was really lovely, except when we went to have a coffee and there was only room to sit outside but it started blowing a cold wind that would have spoiled the process so we moved on to have a coffee elsewhere.
The kids are having a lovely time here as they get to cycle around freely, a treat they don't get at home as although our street isn't exactly a busy road, it is not a through road and we live on a bend at the open end of the road and every pretty much has to come past our house and they are not exactly slouches when it comes to speed. Consequently, they only get to use their bikes when supervised and the freedom that being on the caravan site gives them is a pleasure to watch, even if Alex refuses to give up the stabilisers.
This is the thirteenth time that Alex has featured in a blip and this was the deciding factor between this one and a beautiful one of Becky, who was one ahead of Alex. He was trying to hide from me when he saw I was taking photographs.
Hope you have enjoyed your weekend. As I am off on holiday this week and currently on my second glass of red wine, I am completely relaxed - not the usual pre-Monday morning dread.
